Vedic Mantra Meditation
Shakti - The Path of Power

In the Vedic Worldview, Consciousness is all there is and Yoga is the Union of Individual Consciousness with Cosmic Consciousness

Maharishi MaheshYogi’s teachings

Vedic Meditation is a technique that uses a mantra as the object for meditation. A practice of yoga from the Yoga sutras of Patanjali and the Vedic, Guru Parampara and Adi Shankaracharya tradition of yoga. This pratice has been passed down from teacher to pupil in a continous oral form for thousands of years and was popularised in the West during the 70’s by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It is known to most people as Transcendental Meditation (TM) and is practiced by millions of people around the world with increasing popularity.

The attraction is its’ simple, effortless and effectcive technique. It is easy to learn and practice with immediate benefits. No gadjets are required. You can practice anywhere at anytime for 20-minutes twice everyday. This becomes habit quite quickly as you begin to experience the profound benefits of this meditation.

A personal seed (beej), mantra (sound vibration) is used to quieten the mind taking you from the surface level of everyday busy thinking into the subtle states of consciousness where the mind transcends, enabling you to rest and release stress. This generates deep healing of the nervous system. According to Maharishi the quality of our nervous system directly correlates to the quality of our life, and stress in the nervous system is the main cause of disease.
