Shakti Meditation Course

Shakti Meditation is a mantra based technique and is one of the oldest practices of Yoga that has been passed down from the Vedic tradition from teacher to pupil in an unbroken lineage for thousands of years. It was popularised in the West by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1970 and is known to most people as Transcendental Meditation. Today, it is practiced by millions around the world.

It is a simple, natural and effortless technique that requires no gadgets just your commitment to sit in stillness for 20 minutes x twice each day. A personal mantra (sound) is used to quieten and transcend the mind taking you from the everyday busyness into the subtle states of consciousness where the mind is able to rest, releasing stress from the body and generating profound healing of the nervous system. According to Maharishi the quality of our nervous system directly correlates to the quality of our life. Stress in the nervous system is the main cause of disease.
